Block:
- Two-way — neither side can see the other
- Universal (comments / shorts / live / DMs / Cosmos)
- They are not notified
Mute:
- One-way — you don't see their posts; they don't know
- They can still DM you (lands in "strangers" folder)
Restrict:
- Their comments on your stuff need your approval to show
- They still see your public content; you can't see them
- Good for family/coworkers when blocking is awkward
